    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Equipment:
Be prepared! Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the walk and the season. Always take waterproofs on hill walks – even in summer.

Transport:
The departure point in Hereford is from the Merton Meadow car park off Blackfriars Street. If you require a lift, please contact the leader who will either pick you up or arrange for someone to collect you. You can just go to Merton Meadow on the off chance but there is no guarantee of a lift.

Dogs:
Contact the leader for approval before bringing your dog and only one per walker, please.

Car Parking:
There seems to be an increase in vandalism in car parks. Don’t leave valuables in your car in full view of thieves.

Insurance:
Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the safe enjoyment of our walks, it must be understood that all walkers join a walk at their own risk. Walks leaders can hold no responsibility for accidents whilst on walks. Your own personal accident policy (if you have one) should cover you.

Walk descriptions:
EASY:- A GENTLE STROLL.
MODERATE:- SOME UPS AND DOWNS INVOLVED.
ENERGETIC:- INCLUDES SOME STEEP CLIMBS.
STRENUOUS:- SEVERAL STEEP CLIMBS. GOOD LEVEL OF FITNESS REQUIRED.
IF ANYONE IS IN DOUBT ABOUT WHAT A WALK ENTAILS AND THEIR OWN ABILITY AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THEY CAN COMPLETE IT, THEY ARE ADVISED TO SPEAK TO THE LEADER TO CHECK WHAT IS INVOLVED BEFORE THE WALK STARTS.

Should anyone be prepared to lead a walk, please contact John Wride (01432 269108) with the details. It’s only by members coming forward with walks that we can put together a walks programme.
