Abergavenny

The Web Brecon Beacons
Abergavenny has on occasion being referred to as the traditional gateway to Wales and the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Its civic leaders currently express their pride in this historical town in the phrase “Mountain’s Markets and More”. The town is well situated in a flood plain in the midst of several commanding hills.  In particular, the Sugar Loaf is one of the first signs another visitor will see indicating that they are close to Abergavenny.  But when you walking around town itself it is the Blorenge that towers above you.
