The Brecon Beacons National Park is located in South Wales in the United Kingdom. The designated area of the national park is shaded in light green on this map. The southern boundary at Cefn CoedMerthyr Tydfil is 25 miles north of Cardiff the capital city of Wales. The northern boundary is marked by Brecon and Llandovery with Abergavenny in the east and Hay on Wye in the north east. Llandeilo is just outside the western boundary of the designated area.
