Festivals  

• Brecon Jazz Festival
• Brecon Baroque Festival usually held for four days late in October is a rare chance to hear some of the world’s finest Baroque musicians on home turf.
• Hay on Wye Literature Festival 
  Hay on Wye a market town in the Black Mountains  has a population of around 1,200 people, thirty-eight bookshops and hosts one of the finest literature festivals held anywhere in the world. Late May early June every year.
• Pontardawe Festival A Folk festival that started when Brecon Jazz was still an idea. usually third weekend in August.
• Llantilio Crossenny Festival

Music Theatre Drama  

• Theatr Brycheiniog: "Situated at the end of the picturesque Brecon to Monmouth Canal in the pretty market town of Brecon on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park, Theatr Brycheiniog offers a popular and acclaimed programme of performing arts and entertainment throughout the year".
