The Brecon Beacons National
Park and the surrounding localities offer an enormous choice for the
house hunter. Country Estates: converted barns, small farms and small
holdings, modern developments in small villages, detached properties in
rural settings, just to name a few descriptions of the property
diversity represented. Properties within and around the market towns of
Brecon, Abergavenny Crickhowell and Hay on Wye are especially popular.
Abergavenny and border country to the east with quick access by road and
rail to other parts of the country are especially popular with
commuters. The wild west around Llandovery, Sennybridge and
Llangadog offer more remote secluded locations that have a particular
appeal. Whereas on the southern fringe where the national Park
meets the South Wales valleys the affordability of housing with ease of
access to Cardiff and Newport and further afield proves attractive to
many prospective purchasers. The dualling of the A470 currently in
progress offers improved access in the near future. |
