The Authority is made up of a Committee of locally and nationally appointed members and is served by more than 100 staff. The local members are selected by the local authorities whose council boundary has an area within the National Park boundary. Additional members of the National Park Authority appointed by the Secretary of State for Wales. In addition there are over 50 Community Councils representing towns and villages within the National Park designated area.
