The Brecon Beacons National Park is administered by the National Park Authority. The Authority is
made up of a Committee of locally and nationally appointed members and is served by more than 100 staff. The local
members are selected by the local authorities whose
council boundary has an area within the National Park boundary. Additional
members of the National Park Authority appointed by the Secretary
of State for Wales. In addition there are over 50
Community Councils representing towns and villages within the National
Park designated area. Links to further information about many of these
