By day try pony trekking, caving, walking, mountain biking etc. There are many public rooms: the Breakfast Room with huge Sky TV, huge Billiard and Music Room, the quiet, peaceful Patti Bar with real log fire, and a new restaurant soon to be opened in the cellars.   • Rhondda Heritage Park The Rhondda Heritage Park, based at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery, Trehafod, alive the social and economic history of the South Wales Valleys through the use of a range of techniques including live presentations by ex-miners, exhibitions and hi-tech, multi-media displays. Visitors descend in a Cage to the Pit Bottom and explore the underground and experience the life of miners of the South Wales Valleys for themselves.
